As Hampton Roads’ premier entertainment hub, SevenVenues is dedicated to providing the highest quality of accessible services for all patrons. Our venues feature ADA-approved parking, signage, and seating for easy access.
Accessible Parking
The Scope parking garage has accessible parking spaces adjacent to the Chrysler Hall elevator and the Scope Arena lower concourse doors. The Harrison Opera House and Harbor Park have marked accessible parking spaces in their lots. For Attucks Theatre events, dedicated staff will direct patrons to nearby parking lots, some of which will provide ADA spaces. When attending events at the Wells Theatre, it is recommended that you utilize the MacArthur Mall South Garage (West Entrance off City Hall Ave. - 500 City Hall Ave., Norfolk, VA 23510).
For more information on parking and additional garages in downtown Norfolk, visit our Directions & Parking page.
Access to SevenVenues ADA parking spaces is restricted to patrons with a valid state-issued ADA parking placard or license plate.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating is reserved for exclusive use by individuals with disabilities and their guests. The purchase or use of these seats by non-disabled individuals is strictly prohibited and can result in ejection and/or forfeiture of ticket price. The number and types of accessible seats vary by event and venue. All tickets for accessible seating are subject to availability and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
ADA seating at Chrysler Hall, Harrison Opera House, and the Attucks Theatre is solely in the Orchestra section.
To request accessible seating, patrons can choose one of the following options:
- Purchase directly through Ticketmaster.com by toggling the “show accessible tickets” button under the filter tool. (See image below)
- Call the Scope Arena box office at 757.664.6464
- Visit the Scope Arena box office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you've purchased standard tickets from Ticketmaster.com but need accessible seats, please get in touch with the Scope Arena box office for assistance.
For some events, Ticketmaster is not the primary ticket seller. For such events, third-party sellers or other fans have posted tickets for sale. If this is the case, we cannot guarantee that accessible tickets will be posted for resale. If you require accessible seating, we suggest you contact the primary ticket seller and/or the venue box office to check the availability of tickets that accommodate your needs.
Audio Description
Audio Description is an accommodation for people who are blind or have low vision. It narrates the visuals, such as scenery, props, and body language. Patrons should check out the equipment—a receiver and earbuds—in the lobby. To receive preshow narration, patrons should be seated 30 minutes before the show.
For Audio Description reserved seating, please call 757.664.6464 or email info@sevenvenues.com.
Curbside Drop Off
In the event accessible parking is not available or the garages/lots are full, patrons may be dropped off in designated areas close to each venue’s entrance.
Patrons looking to drop off guests inside Scope Arena garage should enter the garage, inform the parking attendant of their plans, and then make an immediate U-turn. The elevator entrance to Chrysler Hall and/or Scope Plaza will be located on the right, next to the parking booth.
Elevators
Elevators are available to access upper levels in all venues.
First Aid
Guests needing first aid assistance should contact the nearest usher or venue staff member immediately. Paramedics are available on site to respond to medical emergencies.
Hearing Devices
Assisted Hearing Devices are available for all performances at Scope Arena, Chrysler Hall, Harrison Opera House, and the Attucks Theatre. There is no charge, but a valid ID will be required as a deposit. Please inquire with an usher for assistance.
Open Captioning
Open Captioning is available at select Broadway in Norfolk performances. Open Captioning is a speech-to-text translation of the spoken word displayed on an LED Board at stage left. Ask for reserved open captioned seating when purchasing your ticket.
For Open Captioned reserved seating, please call 757.664.6464 or email info@sevenvenues.com.
Restrooms
All venues have wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Family restrooms with diaper-changing facilities are available in Scope Arena, Harbor Park, and Chrysler Hall.
Service Animals
Service Animals are allowed on the premises under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that comply with additional identification requirements of Virginia Law. Service Animals must be trained to assist a disabled person with a significant life activity. In general, Service Animals may accompany a disabled person in our facilities. Service Animals must have an official harness, backpack, or vest identifying the animal as a trained service animal (VA 51.5-44). Companion and therapy animals/pets are NOT covered under ADA and are excluded from this exemption, therefore our policies regarding service animals do not extend to “therapy dogs” or “emotional support animals."
Please note that under Section (VA 51.5-44.1) Any person who knowingly and willfully fits a dog with a harness, collar, vest or sign, or uses an identification card commonly used by a person with a disability, to represent that the dog is a service dog or hearing dog to fraudulently gain public access for such dog under provisions in Section (VA51.5-44) is guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.
Service Animals are not permitted to occupy seats in any of our facilities.
Wheelchair Assists
SevenVenues does not have wheelchairs available for public use. Patrons are advised to bring their wheelchairs or other accommodations as needed.
