Since its grand opening in 1972, Chrysler Hall has served as the premier performing arts center of Hampton Roads, hosting an average of 150 events annually, with attendance of more than 200,000 patrons a year. Many regionally based arts organizations call Chrysler Hall home, including the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, The Norfolk Forum, the Virginia Arts Festival, Broadway in Norfolk, and the Generic Theater. Chrysler Hall hosts acclaimed artists from every discipline, including Broadway productions, classical concerts, contemporary artists, family theatre, and comedy events.
Little Hall
Little Hall is located beneath Chrysler Hall and can seat approximately 225. This black box theater is designed to host plays, rehearsals, lectures, and receptions, and is home to the Generic Theater. Since 1981, Generic Theater has been the area’s “Off-Broadway” playhouse, producing plays and public programs that challenge and delight audiences, take risks, and are unlikely to be seen elsewhere.
Stage Left Lounge
The Stage Left Lounge is Chrysler Hall’s best-kept secret! Located on the third floor of Chrysler Hall, a Stage Left Lounge preshow ticket is a must for anyone who wants early access to the venue in an inviting atmosphere. The Stage Left Lounge is offered as an upgrade on select performances and is exclusive to ticketholders.
