Yo-Yo Ma & Kathryn Stott
Virginia Arts Festival

“A joy from start to finish… two seasoned musicians with nothing to prove, just communicating their love of the music in a totally relaxed manner, hoping to bring comfort in the way [they] know best.”

-The Strad

When the pandemic shut down live performances across the globe, Yo-Yo Ma was one of the first artists to respond, performing on video to reach across the isolation and fill hearts with hope. Now, the Kennedy Center Honoree, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and 18-time Grammy Award-winning cellist returns to the stage with his longtime artistic collaborator and friend Kathryn Stott. Internationally recognized as one of Britain’s most versatile and imaginative pianists, the Washington Post wrote Stott is “every bit Ma’s equal, playing with striking individuality.”
