Virginia International Tattoo A Salute to Military Families
Pageantry and patriotism, spirit and spectacle, talent and teamwork combine in this awesome display of music and might – one of the highlights of the Virginia Arts Festival. Hundreds of performers from all over the world fill the Scope Arena – a truly spectacular springboard for classroom explorations of history, geography, and more!
Start your Tattoo experience early with a free festival three hours prior to each performance! Hullabaloo has something for everyone! Dinner, dessert, drafts, drumming, dance, drill and bagpipes abound! It’s a lively atmosphere on Scope Plaza with Tattoo cast out of uniform and performing tunes of their own selection. Enjoy a pint or an ice cream cone as you get ready for the downbeat of the Tattoo!
Don't miss a unique opportunity to experience a NATO Flag Raising in person. The Norfolk NATO Festival Flag Raising Ceremony is a special event that honors the partnership between NATO and the city of Norfolk, NATO's home in North America. Flags of the 30 NATO Member Nations will be on parade to the backdrop of martial music by the United States Fleet Forces Band on Scope Plaza on Thursday, April 20 at 5 p.m. Free and open to the public.
