CLOSING EARLY - The Legend of Georgia McBride
Virginia Stage Company

Dear friends of Virginia Stage Company,

Out of an abundance of caution, and due to concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Virginia Stage Company will cancel the final week of performances of The Legend Of Georgia McBride, March 18 - 22. The production will officially close with the 7:30pm performance on Sunday, March 15.

Ticket holders will be contacted by the VSC box office to select alternative dates or shows. For these final weekend performances (March 13-15), VSC will limit the amount of seats available to keep the size of the audience gathering under 300 people. As previously announced, we have significantly increased cleaning and sanitizing protocol, and have waived any exchange fees for moving ticket dates.

The following options are available for those who have already purchased tickets to canceled performances. Transferring your ticket to a donation supports Virginia Stage Company during these uncertain times. As a non-profit organization, we appreciate your consideration.

  • Donate your ticket and receive a tax deduction for the total ticket value
  • Credit your ticket value towards a future Season 41 Virginia Stage Company performance
  • Email us your contact information: boxoffice@vastage.org and we will get back to you to discuss options

At this time, we plan to welcome audiences back to the Wells Theatre in time for Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, starting April 8th.

We deeply appreciate your continued support of the Virginia Stage Company and our artists as we all work through these challenges together.

Casey is down on his luck. Recently fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator, he scrambles to pay his rent. To top it off, his wife just announced she is pregnant. When a new drag show replaces his act, Casey trades in his jumpsuit for a dress and finds that he has a whole lot to learn about show business—and himself. This music filled comedy explores the art of finding your true voice, with loads of laughs and dance numbers along the way.
