Event Details
Bassist and vocalist Katie Thiroux began studying at the age of 12 with the great jazz singer Tierney Sutton. Thiroux went on to receive a full scholarship to the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston, and since then has won numerous awards for her artistry. Her debut album, Introducing Katie Thiroux, was released earlier this year to much critical acclaim. “Katie’s swinging bass, clear vocals and inspired instrumental arrangements are reflective of her musical idols: Ray Brown, Oscar Peterson, Chet Baker and Anita O’Day,” says her publicist.
