SevenVenues Policy and Procedures

Accessible Seating

Tickets for individuals with disabilities may be purchased, subject to availability, by calling the Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, visiting or by visiting the Scope Arena box office through Friday, between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Disabled seating is reserved for the exclusive use of individuals with disabilities and their guests and the purchase or use of these seating locations by non-disabled individuals is strictly prohibited and can result in ejection and/or forfeiture of ticket price.

Cameras, Cell Phones and Recording Equipment

Professional cameras are prohibited inside all our venues unless accompanied by appropriate media credentials. Only small personal still camera equipment with a 3 inch lens, or smaller, may be brought in. Selfie sticks are not permitted. Please note that for certain events all cameras are prohibited. Video and audio recorders are prohibited in all venues unless specifically approved. SevenVenues reserves the right to confiscate any cameras or recording devices used in these locations. Guests should contact 757.664.6464 to find out the photo policy prior to the event.

When attending a performance, please turn off all cell phones, pagers and beeping watches.

Arts programs are wonderful experiences for all ages of patrons. SevenVenues would like to encourage families to enjoy performances together; however, in consideration of other ticket holders, unless specified, most performances are not suitable for infants and toddlers, and all persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket. If you have any questions regarding this policy, or the age appropriateness of a performance for your child, please contact the SevenVenues information at (757)664-6464 or email at [email protected]

For your convenience, concession stands are available for most Chrysler Hall events for the purchase of snacks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Beverages may be permitted into the seating area for select events. To identify if drinks are allowed in the theatre for your event, please check with an usher or concessions staff. Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the venue.

During the performance, talking, coughing, rustling of paper and noise from digital watches and other devices disturb performers and your fellow audience members. To ensure guests and performers enjoy shows free of distractions, including any action that is deemed intrusive or offensive, we reserve the right to ask any individual to leave if his or her behavior is deemed as disruptive.

The SevenVenues theater doors open one hour prior to show time, unless otherwise specified. Patrons should plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled performance time. Every attempt is made to begin each performance at its scheduled time. Please be advised that many productions require that latecomers not be admitted until there is a suitable break, as deemed by the show’s director. Will Call is open two hours before each performance.

Emergency Contact Information

Because the use of cell phones and pagers is disrupting to others, please leave the phone number of our information desk, (757) 664-6464, with babysitters and others who may need to reach you in an emergency. Upon arrival, we ask that you alert the usher with your names and seat locations. An usher will discreetly notify you in the event of an emergency. Please note, the information desk phone is staffed during public performances only.

Inclement Weather

Generally, performances will go on as scheduled regardless of inclement weather, and no refunds will be issued. However, in the unlikely event that a performance is canceled, refunds will be promptly distributed.

Lost & Found

During intermission or after the event, please alert an usher if you have lost an item.  If you are no longer at the event venues, call (757) 664-6464 to check lost & found.

Patron Assistance Texting

SevenVenue’s staff is committed to ensuring you have the best experience possible. If you have a concern, see a problem that needs attention, or are being disturbed by another patron, SevenVenues has implemented a Patron Assistance Texting service. To request assistance in Scope, or report an issue, please text “SCOPE”, your problem and location to 69050. To request assistance in Chrysler Hall, or report an issue, please text “CHRYSLER”, your problem and location to 69050.

Enhanced security procedures will be implemented starting Wednesday, November 25, 2015. All guests will be subject to physical and visual inspections, bag checks and/or wanding at the entrances of all venues for all events.

Service Animals

Service Animals are allowed on the premises under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) that comply with additional identification requirements of Virginia Law.  Service Animals must be trained to assist a disabled person with a major life activity.  In general, Service Animals may accompany a disabled person in our facilities.  Service Animals must have an official harness, backpack or vest identifying the animal as a trained service animal (VA 51.5-44). Companion and therapy animals/pets are NOT covered under ADA and are excluded from this exemption, therefore our policies regarding service animals does not extend to “therapy dogs” or “emotional support animals."

Please note that under Section (VA 51.5-44.1) Any person who knowingly and willfully fits a dog with a harness, collar, vest or sign, or uses an identification card commonly used by a person with a disability, in order to represent that the dog is a service dog or hearing dog to fraudulently gain public access for such dog pursuant to provisions in Section (VA51.5-44) is guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.

Service Animals are not permitted to occupy seats in any of our facilities.

All SevenVenues properties are entirely smoke free. This includes electronic cigarettes. There are designated outdoor smoking areas available. Please be advised that performances may include smoking by artists onstage. Strobe, haze and other special effects may also be used during performances.

Lost Tickets

The Box Office can reprint your tickets provided you can verify that you have purchased them.

Facilities Fee

All SevenVenues’ tickets will incur a facility fee which varies by ticket, ranging from $1.00 to $3.00 per ticket. The facility fee is used for capital replacement and restoration of the venues managed by the SevenVenues.

Mail Delivery

SevenVenues Box Office reserves the right to change mail delivery method to Will Call Pickup on tickets at our discretion requiring patrons to pick up tickets at Will Call. Tickets changed from mail to Will Call Pickup must be picked up at the venue with valid Photo ID.

Gift Certificates

Group Sales

Many events, but not all, may have a group discount. Group discounts can range anywhere from 10%-40%, depending on the event. There is a one-time fee of $6.00 for each group order. The minimum number required to receive a group discount ranges from 10-20, depending on the event. Many shows may allow group sales even though there is not a discount. You can still take advantage of all the other benefits of going as a group. If you have a question as to whether or not an event has a group discount, call Group Sales at 757-664-6957.

Third Party Ticket Sellers

SevenVenues does not work with, or endorse, any third party ticket sellers except TicketMaster located at or by phone at 1.800.745.3000. We are not responsible for any purchases made through third party ticket services. If you purchased a fraudulent ticket via a third-party ticket seller, or if a performance was cancelled and you purchased tickets via a third-party ticket seller, you must contact them.
