Update Regarding COVID-19

Out of an abundance of caution, all Norfolk, VA facilities, including SevenVenues, will close to the public Monday, March 16 - Monday, March 30. All city-managed events are canceled during this time. This decision to modify city operations follows the Governor of Virginia's emergency declaration and the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19.

As events cancel or postpone, SevenVenues will communicate those changes to our customers directly by e-mail, social media and on this page. Updates will be posted as soon as possible. If an event is canceled, refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. The Scope Arena Box Office will be open Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to process refunds on cancelled or postponed shows for tickets that were purchased at this box office. Tickets purchased on Ticketmaster.com will automatically be credited if the performance cancelled. Ticket buyers are advised to visit their original point of purchase for further questions.

SevenVenues, which hosts thousands of people weekly, maintains a robust cleaning schedule 365 days a year. Standard cleaning procedures include washing floors and windows, wiping down doorknobs and handle rails, and ensuring soap is always available in restrooms throughout the facilities. Additionally, there are hand sanitizing stations on each floor of Chrysler Hall and at all SevenVenues properties. 

 

2020 MEAC Basketball Tournament - CANCELLED

NORFOLK, Va. (March 12, 2020) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the suspension of the remainder of its Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament, which is being held at the Norfolk Scope Arena.
 
Additionally, all spring sports competitions are being suspended through the end of the Spring 2020 semester and next week’s Women’s Bowling Championship will also be suspended.
 
According to Dr. Wayne Frederick, Chair of the Council of Chief Executive Officers for the MEAC and President of Howard University, these actions have been taken to protect the well-being of the participants, staffs and spectators in light of the ongoing Coronavirus threat.
 
“While we are disappointed that the excellence of our student-athletes after months of preparation will not be showcased, their health and safety as well as the health and safety of the wider community is of paramount importance.”
 
Fans who have purchased tickets to the MEAC Basketball Tournament for games which have not been played should contact the venue through which they made their purchase for refunds. For more information, visit MEACsports.com.

Gregg Karukas - POSTPONED

At the request of the artist, the Gregg Karukas performance scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14, has been postponed. A new performance date will be announced shortly.

Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new date. Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will automatically be credited.

The Legend of Georgia McBride - CLOSING EARLY

Out of an abundance of caution, and due to concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Virginia Stage Company will cancel the final week of performances of The Legend Of Georgia McBride, March 18 - 22. The production will officially close with the 7:30pm performance on Sunday, March 15.

Norfolk Admirals - CANCELLED

As the on-going developments regarding the COVID-19 in North America continue and precautionary measures ensue to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the ECHL has cancelled the 2019-20 Season for the safety of our Fans, Players, and Employees.

Scope on Ice - CANCELLED

At the request of Norfolk's City Manager, all city-managed events from March 16 – March 30 have been cancelled. This includes Scope on Ice scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at Scope Arena. Out of an abundance of caution, Scope on Ice scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at Scope Arena has also been cancelled.

 

Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically credited.

Norfolk Tides - DELAYED START

In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, and after consultation with medical professionals and our partners at Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball will delay the start of the 2020 Championship Season. We will continue to monitor the developments and will announce additional information about the 2020 season at a later date. We will work with Major League Baseball and our community partners to resume play as soon as it is safe to do so. The health and safety of Minor League Baseball fans, players, and executives is our top priority, and our thoughts are with those around the world who have been affected by this outbreak.

Due to the current global health crisis as well as travel and performance restrictions, the performance of My Brother, My Brother And Me: Laughter & Love Tour at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk on April 24, 2020 has been postponed. This very difficult decision was made following the recommendations of government authorities including the Center for Disease Control to reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).  All tickets for the original performance will be honored for the rescheduled show. An Evening with David Sedaris - NEW DATE

Due to the recent governmental advisories restricting congregations of people to under 10 people, the upcoming David Sedaris engagement originally scheduled on April 14 at Harrison Opera House will be postponed to Monday, October 5.

 

The tickets you already purchased are still valid and will be accepted for admittance to the venue.

The upcoming engagement of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, originally scheduled for March 31 – April 5 at Chrysler Hall, has been rescheduled to December 29, 2020 – January 3, 2021 due to the recent governmental advisories restricting congregations of people to fewer than 10 people. The safety and health of our audiences is our highest priority and we encourage everyone to follow the guidelines put forth by public health officials.

 

The tickets you already purchased will be valid for the new date. All current ticket holders' seats will be transferred into the corresponding performances, and all ticket prices will remain the same. No further action is required.
