Update Regarding COVID-19

Out of an abundance of caution, all City of Norfolk facilities, including SevenVenues, are closed until further notice. All city-managed events are canceled during this time. This decision to modify city operations follows the Governor Northam's emergency declaration and the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19.

As events cancel or postpone, SevenVenues will communicate those changes to customers directly by e-mail, social media and on this page. If you do not see your event listed, please be patient and check back regularly as SevenVenues continues to sort out details with individual tours. 

Refund Information:

  • If an event is canceled or postponed, ticket holders should contact their original point of purchase for refund instructions.
  • For tickets purchased at Ticketmaster.com, refunds will be processed automatically if the event is canceled. If an event is rescheduled, and the ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled date, they must contact Ticketmaster.com.
  • In light of Governor Northam's stay at home order, the SevenVenues box office is closed. Tickets purchased in person at the Scope Arena box office will be refunded once the building reopens.

Aida - POSTPONED

Today, as we monitor the scope of the COVID-19 pandemic and rely on constantly updated information from local authorities and our partners and colleagues within the field, Virginia Opera, The Official Opera Company of the Commonwealth of Virginia, has reached the decision that the most responsible way to honor our commitment to the health and well-being of our extended community is to postpone our forthcoming performances of Aida in Norfolk and Richmond.

An Evening with David Sedaris - NEW DATE

In light of ongoing public health concerns, the upcoming David Sedaris engagement originally scheduled for April 14 at the Harrison Opera House has been postponed to Monday, October 5. Previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date. If you purchased tickets and are unable to attend the October 5 performance, contact your original point of purchase. Patrons who purchased tickets on Ticketmaster.com are advised to log into their account to manage their ticketing options. For additional questions, please email [email protected].

David Sedaris boasts more than 12 million books in print including best-sellers Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. Calypso, a collection of 21 semi-autobiographical essays, is his most recent work. Sedaris will read all new stories live, answer questions from the audience and sign books before and after the show.

 

Baby Shark Live - POSTPONED

Official Nederlander National Markets Statement: The May 17 performance of Baby Shark Live! at Chrysler Hall has been postponed. The safety and health of our audiences is our highest priority and we encourage everyone to follow the guidelines put forth by public health official. The show will be rescheduled for a date to be announced and we can’t wait to bring this one-of-a-kind musical experience to families in Norfolk.

Black Violin - NEW DATE

The Black Violin show scheduled for March 29 at Chrysler Hall has been rescheduled to Friday, August 21, 2020. Please hold on to your tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled show.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - POSTPONED

Currently, performances of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, scheduled for April 8 - 26 are postponed.

Collage Dance Collective - CANCELLED

OFFICIAL VIRGINIA ARTS FESTIVAL STATEMENT: The Virginia Arts Festival’s top priority is the health and safety of all our patrons, artists, volunteers, and staff.  In conformance with Governor Ralph Northam’s statewide ban on events over 100 people made on March 15, 2020, and due to the increasing threat of COVID-19, all public performances and education events scheduled through May 4 will be postponed or cancelled effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded.

General James Mattis - POSTPONED

OFFICIAL NORFOLK FORUM STATEMENT: James Mattis at Chrysler Hall on April 9, 2020 has been postponed. This difficult decision was made following the recommendations and mandates by local and federal government authorities to reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). All tickets for the original event date will be honored for the rescheduled date. Gregg Karukas - POSTPONED

At the request of the artist, the Gregg Karukas performance scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14, has been postponed. A new performance date will be announced shortly.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live - POSTPONED

Official Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Statement: After consultation with Scope Arena and in consideration of local public health concerns, Raycom-Legacy Content Company has postponed the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live shows in Norfolk on March 28 & 29. The safety and health of our guests, performers, and crew is our primary concern always. We will reschedule the event for a future date to be announced very soon. All tickets purchased for the March 28 & 29 shows will be honored on the rescheduled dates. Purchasers with questions should contact the point of purchase. In light of ongoing public health concerns, the Lauren Daigle show has been postponed.

MEAC Basketball Tournament - CANCELLED

Fans who have purchased tickets to the MEAC Basketball Tournament for games which have not been played should contact the venue through which they made their purchase for refunds. For more information, visit MEACsports.com.

My Brother, My Brother, and Me - POSTPONED

Due to the current global health crisis as well as travel and performance restrictions, the performance of My Brother, My Brother And Me: Laughter & Love Tour at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk on April 24, 2020 has been postponed. This very difficult decision was made following the recommendations of government authorities including the Center for Disease Control to reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).  All tickets for the original performance will be honored for the rescheduled show. A new date will be announced as soon as possible.

Norfolk Admirals - CANCELLED

As the on-going developments regarding the COVID-19 in North America continue and precautionary measures ensue to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the ECHL has cancelled the 2019-20 Season for the safety of our Fans, Players, and Employees.

Norfolk Tides - DELAYED START

In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, and after consultation with medical professionals and our partners at Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball will delay the start of the 2020 Championship Season. We will continue to monitor the developments and will announce additional information about the 2020 season at a later date. We will work with Major League Baseball and our community partners to resume play as soon as it is safe to do so. The health and safety of Minor League Baseball fans, players, and executives is our top priority, and our thoughts are with those around the world who have been affected by this outbreak.

Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - NEW DATE

The upcoming engagement of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, originally scheduled for March 31 – April 5 at Chrysler Hall, has been rescheduled to December 29, 2020 – January 3, 2021 due to the recent governmental advisories restricting congregations of people to fewer than 10 people. The safety and health of our audiences is our highest priority and we encourage everyone to follow the guidelines put forth by public health officials.

 

The tickets you already purchased will be valid for the new date. All current ticket holders' seats will be transferred into the corresponding performances, and all ticket prices will remain the same. No further action is required.

At the request of Norfolk's City Manager, all city-managed events from March 16 – March 30 have been cancelled. This includes Scope on Ice scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at Scope Arena. Out of an abundance of caution, Scope on Ice scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at Scope Arena has also been cancelled.

 

Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically credited.

Out of an abundance of caution, and due to concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Virginia Stage Company will cancel the final week of performances of The Legend Of Georgia McBride, March 18 - 22. The production will officially close with the 7:30pm performance on Sunday, March 15.
