An Evening with David Sedaris - POSTPONED

The David Sedaris event, originally scheduled for April 14 and rescheduled for October 5, has been postponed to an undetermined date in 2021. All ticket buyers will be notified of the new show date as soon as it is confirmed.

 

All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new date. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. Baby Shark Live - CANCELED

The performance of Baby Shark Live! at Chrysler Hall, originally scheduled for May 17, 2020 and then postponed, has been canceled.

Beethoven's Emperor Concerto and Symphony No. 5 - NEW DATE

Virginia Arts Festival continues to work in the best interest of patrons, artists, staff, and volunteers. Due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19, the [email protected] performances have been rescheduled for the second time. The upcoming engagement of Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto and Symphony No. 5, originally rescheduled for August 29, has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 8pm.

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones - NEW DATE

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, originally scheduled for May 30 at Harrison Opera House, has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 8pm.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - POSTPONED

The previously scheduled engagement of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, originally scheduled for March 31 - April 5, 2020 at Chrysler Hall and rescheduled for December 29, 2020 through January 3, 2021, has been postponed due to tour routing issues related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Collage Dance Collective, originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, has been canceled.

General James Mattis - NEW DATE AND LOCATION

The Norfolk Forum event featuring General James Mattis, originally scheduled for August 27 at Chrysler Hall, has been rescheduled. For information regarding the new date and location, please click here.

At the request of the artist, the Gregg Karukas performance scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14, has been postponed. A new performance date will be announced shortly.

Live From Here with Chris Thile - CANCELED

The upcoming engagement of Live from Here with Chris Thile, originally scheduled for May 9 at Chrysler Hall, and rescheduled for 2021, has been canceled.

 

Live from Here has always been about bringing people together. It has been a joy to connect with you in person, on the radio, and online. However, as gatherings have become increasingly complicated, we are sad to announce that we will no longer be producing Live from Here. This past week’s broadcast was our final new show”, a statement on the Live From Here Facebook page reads.

Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt - CANCELED

Official statement from the Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt tour:

"It is with a heavy heart we announce the Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt tour across North America is canceled. Due to the unprecedented circumstances surrounding COVID-19, it is not possible to continue shows scheduled for this April and May. Tickets will be refunded directly at point of purchase. Please check with your cities’ venues for their specific policies. We appreciate your support and understanding. We hope you all stay healthy and safe."

MEAC Basketball Tournament - CANCELED

My Brother, My Brother, and Me - CANCELED

My Brother, My Brother and Me, Laughter & Love Tour at Chrysler Hall, originally postponed from April 24, 2020, has been canceled. 

If you purchased your tickets via online or by phone, a refund will automatically be issued to the credit card you used to purchase within 30 business days. Otherwise, refunds are available at your original point of purchase. 

Najee - POSTPONED

The Najee performance scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 23 at the Harrison Opera House has been postponed. A new performance date will be announced shortly.

Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new date. Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will automatically be credited.

Norfolk Admirals 2020-2021 Season - CANCELED

The Norfolk Admirals have announced that the team will be opting out of competition for the 2020-2021 ECHL season under the ECHL’s COVID-19 Voluntary Suspension Policy. The team will return to play in the 2021-2022 ECHL season. For further details, please click here.

Norfolk Tides - SEASON CANCELED

Major League Baseball has informed Minor League Baseball that it will not be providing its affiliated Minor League teams with players for the 2020 season. As a result, there will not be a Minor League season this year.

Tides representatives will be reaching out to ticket holders and business partners regarding ticket packages and corporate sponsorships. An updated ticket policy will also be made available for fans who had already purchased single-game tickets for the 2020 season.

Norman Brown - CANCELED

Due to the threat of COVID-19, large venue restrictions, and concern for patrons well being, the performance of Norman Brown at Harrison Opera House, originally scheduled for July 25, 2020, has been canceled.

Scope on Ice - CANCELED

At the request of Norfolk's City Manager, all city-managed events from March 16 – March 30 have been canceled. This includes Scope on Ice scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at Scope Arena. Out of an abundance of caution, Scope on Ice scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at Scope Arena has also been canceled.

 

Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically credited.

Shostakovich Five - POSTPONED

In light of Governor Northam's stay at home order, Shostakovich Five, scheduled to take place on May 8 at Chrysler Hall, has been postponed. A new performance date will be announced shortly. 

Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music - CANCELED

The performance of Sing-a Long-a Sound of Music at Chrysler Hall, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2020 and then postponed, has been canceled.

Strauss Rosenkavalier Waltzes - POSTPONED

Out of an abundance of caution, due to concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Virginia Symphony will postpone concerts through April 15, 2020.

Stephanie Nakasian - CANCELED

The Stephanie Nakasian concert, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4, and rescheduled to Saturday, October 3, has been canceled.

In conformance with Governor Ralph Northam’s statewide ban on events over 10 people, and due to the increasing threat of COVID-19, The Black Mozart performance scheduled to take place on May 7 at the Attucks Theatre has been canceled.

The Fab Four - CANCELED

Due to circumstances outside of our control, the Fab Four show at the Harrison Opera House, originally scheduled for June 27, 2020 has been canceled. The Music of Star Wars - POSTPONED

The Streisand Songbook - NEW DATE

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s performance of the Streisand Songbook, originally scheduled for March 21 at Chrysler Hall has been rescheduled to Thursday, June 3.

Theresa Caputo, The Experience Live!, originally scheduled for June 25 and rescheduled for November 12, has been postponed to Wednesday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.

Virginia International Tattoo - CANCELED

OFFICIAL VIRGINIA ARTS FESTIVAL STATEMENT: The Virginia Arts Festival’s top priority is the health and safety of all our patrons, artists, volunteers, and staff.  In conformance with Governor Ralph Northam’s statewide ban on events over 100 people made on March 15, 2020, and due to the increasing threat of COVID-19, all public performances and education events scheduled through May 4 will be postponed or canceled effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Wicked - CANCELED

The previously scheduled engagement of Wicked in Norfolk from May 20 - 31 at Chrysler Hall is canceled due to ongoing gathering bans. The safety and health of our audiences is our highest priority and we encourage everyone to follow the guidelines put forth by public health officials.
