Colin Hay
Colin Hay’s voice and visage are familiar to millions from his tenure as frontman, principal songwriter, and lead vocalist of pop sensation Men at Work. Since the group disbanded he has released several solo albums, including Man at Work, which featured re-recordings of classic Men at Work songs in an acoustic environment. More recently the past ten years have found Hay quietly re-introducing himself to new generations of fans. The frequent use of his music on soundtracks – including the hit television show Scrubs and the sleeper-hit soundtrack to the film Garden State – has proven the timeless appeal of his songs’ personae: quizzical, curious, cynical yet open-hearted. He also starred as a troubadour in the first episode of season two, “My Overkill,” performing his song “Overkill,” which was also the basis for the episode’s title.
Colin Hay will be appearing at the Attucks Theatre without opening support. He will be performing a 2-hour set, with no intermission, so be sure to arrive on time to catch the whole show! Subscribers, in lieu of intermission, the Libation Lounge will open at 7pm.
