The album showcases astounding guest performances with renowned artists, Brian McKnight, Faith Evans, acoustic guitar legend Earl Klugh among others. XII showcases a diverse mix of genres from funky ‘Go-Go’ music, to multiple vocal arrangements, dance grooves and more.
Since his breakthrough in 1994, Culbertson has released a string of 10 albums, including his self-produced debut, Long Night Out; Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Chart topper, Nice & Slow (2001); It's On Tonight (2005), which featured two No. 1 singles; and a salute to ‘70s soul music, Bringing Back the Funk (2008), co-produced with Culbertson and the legendary Maurice White.
2009’s Live From The Inside not only provides fans with an all-access pass into the life of Culbertson, but also captures his youth-fired passion, sensitivity, and skill as an artist. "It felt like one day I went to sleep and woke up 15 years later," Brian marvels at his career.
