Group Sales FAQ's

Q – What is a group?
A – A group is usually 20 or more people, depending on the event for which they are buying tickets.  A group can be made up of a group of friends, co-workers, members of a church, employees, children’s groups, corporate groups, military, or just about anyone that wants to go see an event together.

Q – How much do you save on Group Tickets?
A – Group discounts can range anywhere from 10%-40%, depending on the event. 

Q – Do all events offer group discounts?
A – Most events, but not all, have a group discount.  If you have a question as to whether or not an event has a group discount, just ask! 

Q – How do we get group tickets?
A – It’s a lot easier than you think!  You can call or email our Group Sales Manager to ask about the event(s) you are interested in!  They can then help you in picking the best method for purchasing your tickets (we have a few), as well as coordinating any additional receptions or events you need. 

Q – How do we pay for the tickets?
A – This depends on how you purchase them.  Some groups choose to do all of their purchasing individually online.  For others, they place a deposit on the tickets, and pay the rest up to 10 – 30 days before the event.  Final payment dates vary per event. We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash.

Q – Is there a deadline to order ticket?
A – Yes!  For most shows the tickets have to be ordered and paid for at least 10-30 days prior to an event.  This can change depending on ticket sales; if a show sells out, then there may not be any more tickets left to purchase for a group. If tickets are still available after the deadline, the order must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Q – What is SevenVenues’ policy on ticket refunds, exchanges, or lost tickets?
A – We are sorry, but tickets cannot be refunded, cancelled, or exchanged.  If an event is cancelled of postponed then we will issue ticket refunds.  Lost tickets can sometimes be replaced if appropriate proof of purchase is shown.

Q – At what age does a child have to pay for a ticket?
A – For most shows children under 2 years old are admitted for free as long as they sit on an adult’s lap.  For some family shows, all children must have a ticket.  For the most recent information on family shows, it is best to call the box office at 757-664-6464.

Q – How much is parking?
A – All event parking is $5 per car at any lot owned by the City of Norfolk.  We have a parking garage located underneath the plaza, Scope Arena and Chrysler Hall, and there are several parking lots and garages within easy walking distance throughout the downtown area.  To get the best available parking, we recommend coming early and shopping or eating at one of the fabulous downtown establishments in nearby downtown Norfolk!  For a complete listing of all garages and lots, as well as other attractions in downtown Norfolk, visit the website of the Downtown Norfolk Council, http://www.downtownnorfolk.org/map
