American Businesswoman, investor and TV Personality on "Shark Tank"
Barbara Corcoran is perhaps best known as one of the investors on the hit television show Shark Tank. She is admired both on and off the show for her business acumen and no-nonsense wisdom that she imparts to entrepreneurs, dozens of whom she has decided to invest with in their businesses. Her best credential to earn the spot on Shark Tank was her landmark success in New York residential real estate where she turned a $1,000 loan into the Corcoran Group which she sold in 2001 for $66 million. But before that big success, Corcoran held 20 different jobs before she was 23 and overcame many adversities. Corcoran is also the author of several books including Shark Tales which became the #1 business book on Amazon. Corcoran is a motivational and inspirational speaker who is known to be sometimes outrageous and always with a tell-it-like-it-is attitude.
